Harris County Constable. My ZR3 nails another Pro Laser 3.
April 22, 2010 - 8:59 am
My ZR3 jams yet another Pro Laser 3, This time in the hands of a precinct 3 constable. There were brake lights tapped from a truck ahead so I was off throttle and coasting but still in the “strike” zone. So it still goes down as a save. Notice the V1 alerts slightly ahead of the ZR3. Not enough to be a substantive warning but does demonstrate the V1 can sniff out a laser attack pretty quick. FYI: If you use a jammer do NOT jam to the gun. Let your laser jammer jam for just a second til you get to the posted limit then shut it down so the LEO can get a fix. If not you may get an hour long roadside inspection.

You got me. Thats the secret. I’m not speeding.
and never will be
February 4th, 2009 at 3:18 am
Wait are you saying he should speed and you are a cop?
Why do people have radio’s, cruise control, and trip computers, etc. in their cars they aren’t needed. People are gadget freaks. I have pretty much the same equipment as this guy in the video and I don’t speed but it lets me know I am being watched. Why should I speed and endanger my life and my car?
February 4th, 2009 at 2:43 pm
Thats my point rob, if you DONT speed and are a law abiding citizen I just dont understand the need for all the equipment, I am a gadget freak too but for stuff I’ll actually use, I just wanted him to give a proper demonstration.
February 4th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
So proper demonstration would be to speed? What department do you work for I would like to contact your supervisor and the area judge. With radar detectors all you need is constant on radar source which you guy occasionally still do to see the detector alert from a distance and work.
I am so glad you are supposedly one that has chosen to protect and serve yet you are encouraging others to speed. You are a disgrace to all other police.
February 4th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
A waste? I’ve been using radar detectors for over 25 years because they are a lot of fun to use and since they keep me alert on long drives. The average driver is virtually guaranteed of getting 1 speeding ticket every 5 years even if they mostly drive along with the flow of traffic. Its all about revenue. Speed enforcement combined with higher related insurance premiums is a 35 BILLION dollar a year industry within the USA.

What camera do you use?
March 23rd, 2009 at 2:43 am
Your a pansy dude let it go “id like to contact your supervisor and area judge” u wont do anything
March 23rd, 2009 at 3:51 am
If the guy gave his badge number and department I will gladly get in contact with his supervisor. I have no problem calling out cops on their BS….In my college town I was seen as untouchable by the police authorities because I called them all out on their BS. Working for the town judge has its benefits as well. Maybe if Mr “encouraging people to speed” would actually give me his contact information his supervisor would get a message whether it does anything or not.

great idea, piss off all the cops so when u need help they wont help ur ass out, just cause cops have the balls to do the job they do dont me u gotta try and fuck it up
March 25th, 2009 at 2:47 am
If the cop is being honest with me and truthful with me I have no problem. Having 3 good friends in law enforcement and 2 more over seas right now in the military. Sorry but the military takes more balls than a cop. Maybe I just attact lying cops. I HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH COPS ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO BREAK THE LAWS THEY ENFORCE!!! Which is what this cop was trying to do. Cop telling people to speed is like a cop telling a robber to rob a bank, a murderer to go shot someone, etc.
March 26th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
First of all im a recent recruit into the Army Reserve and am enrolled in the future soldier program, and my best friends dad is a K9 officer and my other friends brother is a cop.
March 26th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
So just so we are clear you think its ok for Cops to encourage citizens to break the law??? Cause that was my original problem with the officer ‘gtstang1420′ and reason why i would file a complaint. Being an officer I expect them to hold themselves to a higher standard cause they know the law and the dangers more than the average joe.
Glad to see you think its ok that someone suppose to uphold the law is encouraging people to break it… Smart!!!!!
March 27th, 2009 at 12:36 am
So what if he says that, dont mean u gotta listen, perfect time for the classic “if he said to jump off a bridge would u”
March 27th, 2009 at 1:47 am
True but still telling a person to speed. If my job was to make sure people don’t speed of commit traffic violations I am not going to encourage them to commit them. Just like if I was stationed on the brigde to stop jumpers I am not going to tell them to jump off the bridge.
The Cop should be happy this driver doesn’t speed its one less accident he’ll have to do the paperwork for.

How does that thing work, I need that too, just take a look at my video of my car and you would know right away why.. I’m afraid that when you block the signal of the gun that they take a photo of your car to prove you were blocking the signal.

I don’t know about the Czech Republic but there in Texas the cops don’t take pics of you speeding. They just point and shoot. If you can slow down enough while jamming them and turn the unit off (JTK) you can slide by without arousing suspicion.

niiiiiiice, i see you’re equipped with a valentine. i just got mine and it’s saved my ass from a ticket on I-10 already. i’ve really been thinking about buying a decent jammer too. i like your setup, props
July 15th, 2009 at 3:14 pm
so that laser jammer is installed in your bumper correct? basically makes the laser’s/cops unable to read your speed? does ur zr3 jam other laser detectors besides the pro laser 3?
also, in your description, you mentioned that you should slow down to the posted speed, let the jammer “jam”, then turn it off? is there a kill switch so you can get detected so you won’t make it obvious that you have a jammer?
sorry for all the questions. hope you answer them =]
July 15th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
is the pro laser 3 the most current up to date laser gun used by the police? are there other laser guns used to detect speeders, and if so, does the ZR3 jam other lasers too?
July 16th, 2009 at 12:49 am
The ProLaser 3 is one of the best and commonly used LIDAR guns on the market. It’s lightweight, reliable, easy to acquire speeds with and has spectacular range. This amazing range is part of the reason it’s so easy to jam.
Other jammable guns are the Ultralyte LTi and Stalker LZ-1. Ultralyte just unveiled the new Truspeed which the ZR3 does decent against. But remember, the ZR3 works best on small dark cars that already have a stealthy profile.

They mostly catch you on the Ka bands, no?
I heard that it’s advised not to ticket on laser gun clocking due to shadowing?
August 23rd, 2009 at 5:20 am
What side of town is that on? I’m pretty sure its the BW8.
August 23rd, 2009 at 5:02 pm
Yes, It’s the South Belway 8 at I45.
